Ditzinger Lebenslauf 2021: Covering the kilometres together, even when social distancing

Team events and joint activities are an important aspect of a company’s operations and ultimate success. They foster a feeling of togetherness, improve communication within teams, and help build trust between employees. And the best bit: it all works even with social distancing!

Many races, one common goal

The Ditzinger Lebenslauf 2021 (Ditzingen Race for Life) took place under coronavirus restrictions for the second year in row, with the organisers again deciding to hold a contactless, interactive version of the race rather than a group run. Between 21 April and 2 May 2021, each participant diligently covered the event’s kilometres alone, all for a good cause. Completing the course by jogging, walking, strolling, cycling or inline skating – whatever it takes! Every kilometre counted!. They were added up in the online portal, then converted into donations in aid of the Mukoviszidose e.V. cystic fibrosis charity.

A great turnout by the GEZE team

The charity run has been a firm fixture on the GEZE calendar for many years, and several of our employees took part in the 2021 event. After all, we’re a strong team even with socially distancing, and fight with motivation to achieve a common goal. And we did it: Team GEZE ran a total of 12,351 kilometres for the charity, in return for which the company made a donation of some €4,000 to the charity. What a great performance: our thanks go to everyone who covered the kilometres.
